Myakka River Wetlands
oil on canvas, 16" x 20"
One of my favorite places for birdwatching in winter is Myakka River State Park in southern Florida. It always seems to be very windy every time I’m there. I came across this lone Sandhill Crane on one of those windy days in February. Maybe he was part of one of those large flocks that flew over my house a few months ago in November migrating south.
